One foot on the ground
Musicals. One of today's most deadly distractions. This media form has turned into a global pandemic affecting today's youth. This drug can be found through human history, however in recent generations its popularity has increased to make it the menace it is today. With its popularity it has spawned certain trendy packages which are currently in demand in most major metropolises. The drug mostly came to fame do to the reactions it produces within the body. The body's reactions include twitching facial muscles and extremities, humming, and a lightness of mood. Depending on the person, these effects can last from a few hours to a week before completely dissipating.

However, researchers have stated that, other than the initial reactions, those who have only used this stimulant once or twice will not experience the effects of prolonged usage. When consumed at least three times, Musicals begin to break down the concentration centers of the brain, releasing dangerous toxins into the blood stream. The residual amount of the drug left behind with each use increases the amount, and intensity, of the flashbacks, episodes that produce similar feelings to the original experience.

Trafficking is done during the day, but night is when all the heavy users go out for their fixes. Musicals are irrevocably changing youth worldwide, leading people down a dangerous path to become musical comedy stars. The effects of this on future laws and generations has yet to be seen, but it can be accurately stated that Musicals have created their lasting place in pop culture. For better or for worse, so Be Prepared! *gigglesnort*

Sometime last week, I believe, people on my block played a Spanish version of Achy Breaky Heart. I think my brain stopped for a minute. If you ever have the opportunity to listen to it, if only a small portion, I would recommend you do so -- its definitely worth it.

I shall now go through a semester wrap-up ramble. )

Met some interesting people this semester, but still no Anthropology majors.

I've noticed that I never put anything deeper that random fluff. To try to change that fact I think I will clean up friends/communities I have added -- get rid of the ones I don't read and people I don't talk to. I need to make it easier to for me get through my friends page as well as make me more at ease posting here.

Some new news, however, is that I have now turned prime. Isn't that lovely? The next time won't be for another four years. I think I'll really enjoy this year, I usually prefer odd years.

And lastly, I made a new layout for myself! Gone is the now annoyingly bright colours and the Four/Sarah banner. Now my eyes welcome this gentle relief, a sharp contrast with its blinding predecessor. The song used is Changes by the Monkees, not that anyone cares. Using a new mood theme too, because Sylar is one of the best written villains I've been introduced to in a long time. That, and Zachary Quinto is hot. ^_^

Ohmygoodiedaunt! The We Will Rock You musical is awesome. I miss Freddie! I am now bouncing around and singing Queen songs. I've had no sugar, and yet I am shaking. Either something was in the fog or Queen makes me so very, very happy. ^_^

Finals are now over, what a pleasant way to reward myself. Its been an interesting week, and I'm glad its over.

I'm twitching like mad, I'm making many mistakes in my English. I want to go again, I want to dance! If you can go, do! If we support it, maybe it will stay. It's at Morton College, so its nowhere you can't find.

It was funny, though Jason said that some of the things get a bit corny after they are repeated. I don't think so, I love corny music jokes. And trust me, they covered pretty much everything.

I need to go find myself a really good Queen icon, very few bands make me happy so consistently.

Edit: okay, musicals are obiviously not good for my state of mind. They're like a drug, a drug I tell you! Now my head hurts from the quiet. It was wonderfully loud.

And I hate women's public bathrooms.

This first semester of college seems to have gone rather well for me. What I'm ever so proud of is the first paper I had to write for Anthropology (I compared the religions of the Celts and the Vikings) - I got a 40 out of 40. Though there were a couple of instances where I forgot to elaborate on a point not dealing with the topic, I did rather well. Also, I think this was the first English class ever where my work was used for a good example and I was the 'star' pupil. It was kind of weird.
Next semester will prove interesting.

I watched the first four episodes of Deadwood today. I knew I'd love it. Reverend Smith is my favorite non-main character, he's made of awesome. I bawled terribly at the end with Wild Bill. The reactions of the actors are superb. I'm totally crushin'.

So I'm getting a MP3 player for Christmas. If anyone has opinions about a 30GB (or so) I'd like to hear 'em. Zune, Creative Labs Zen, and Ipod are the ones I know, though I'd probably be leaning to the two former. Battery life, scratch resistance, and song skips (basically how the damn thing works) are what I'm curious about so if you've got something to say then say it.

Bought and watched The Mind Robber for the first time yesterday. And when I bought it my dad said it wasn't one of the better ones - pshaw! It was the first episode I saw with Zoe too. That fight scene and catsuit reminded me of Emma Peel, only a bit clumsy. I think the second doctor just beat out the fifth on my list. My dad was making fun of the special effects while I was watching it. I don't get why people make such a deal out of the effects. The old stuff scares me more. (If anyone's seen the movie The Crawling Hand, that freaked the hell outta me, no joke.)

Also, Billie Piper and her music (oh so good!) have been interfering with the Bowie/Fleetwood mix I've been going for recently. But to listen to her I have to watch her videos on YouTube, and those are distracting. The dancing makes me giggle. Seriously, watch -- Something Deep Inside

Well today was just a bundle of surprises. First off when I was in Labonski's I had nothing to do so I pulled out my radio and guess what was the second song I stumbled across? Do You Want To! So then I was like "rAwk OUt!" and lost hearing temporarily. So the song finished and I hopped onto his computer to check what day the CD is released. I thought it was the 13th but no!, they say on their site that it is the 4th! (YCHISMB is released on October 3rd (UK) through Domino and on October 4th (USA) through Sony BMG.) This pumped me up, I was riding high on that for awhile. Still am actually. Plus maybe a Carina Round Cd may be in stock. *hopes*

During second hour the counselor had me meet them. This was good since I in turn missed half of psych, thus making me unable to finish the test. It also gives me time to memorize the one word I know but can't remember.

Guess what I got in the mail today? A tattoo. From who, you say? From the University of Milwaukee, that's who. .....No comment.

*EDIT*
I'm sad, and Elisabeth is playing Franz and I can't get into it right now. Bugger.

Today was fun, lets recap.

Scifi - I started paying attention with 20 minutes left, part of which I was reading silently.
Psych - she wasn't here, gave us a load of crap to do. I did relatively nothing.
Sims - he was missing for thirty minutes so I did nothing.
Gov - waited for binder checks to finish, laughed at funny laws.
Labonski - copied 150 of Joseph sheet music
Eng - took batshit easy test.

My days are so amazingly easy I think I should go distracted. How can people complain about their senior year? What are they doing, growing puppies?

I think I threw out my shoulder muscles. But I have the COOLEST new necklace: I took a washer thing and put it on a black string. Very symbolic.

Carina Round: She's more of a harder rocker with a unique style I haven't really heard from anyone else (at least that I liked). Her one single off her second CD, Into My Blood (see it here), is really good. Not as distinct as others of hers but still a damn good song. I've heard most of the songs from The Disconnection and I'd have to say Shoot or Lacuna is my current favorite (I think(. She's well worth to check out.

Courtney Jaye: She's more a pop/country/folkish type with a little rock to her. So far I've only heard Can't Behave (hear it here) but it's so catchy I'm definitely checking out more. I truly think her vocals on that song are some of the nicest from that/those types of new artists. Plus, her hair is TO DIE FOR.

Well that concludes my little plug and chug, give them a go.
